PEORIA, Ill. — Central Illinois pinned Waterloo in a 4-0 hole that was more than the Black Hawks could overcome Sunday in a 5-1 United States Hockey League defeat.

It was the third loss of the weekend for the Black Hawks (4-4-0-0), who were outscored 13-3 over the three games.

Central Illinois (4-4-0-0) led 2-0 after one period and 4-0 after two Sunday. Waterloo’s Bobby Trivigno broke up the shutout with a power-play goal 7 minutes, 42 seconds into the final period, and the Flying Aces capped the scoring with an empty net tally in the closing minutes.
