WATERLOO — When you are hot, you are hot and Sunday, the Waterloo Black Hawks’ line of Garrett Wait, Jack Drury and Bobby Trivigno was hot.

That trio combined for four goals as the Black Hawks topped the Omaha Lancers, 5-2, in United States Hockey League action at Young Arena.

Despite Waterloo outshooting Omaha, 16-5, in the first period, the game was tied 1-1, with Wait scoring his ninth of the season with 7:06 left.

Trivigno and Drury assisted on the goal, with the assist giving Drury a point for the 13th-consecutive game.

Waterloo took control in the second as Trivigno scored unassisted 48 seconds in, and Evan Dougherty made it 3-1 with 15:18 left in the period. After the Lancers cut their deficit to 3-2 with an early third-period power-play goal, Drury scored his 10th of the season with 8:06 to go.

Wait added his second of the night into an empty net with 1:13 left as Waterloo improved to 18-10-3
