WATERLOO — Waterloo Swim jumped back into the pool Saturday following the holiday break with its annual TroHawk Invitational meet at Central Intermediate.

Decorah made a strong showing in the non-traditional format, winning the 200 medley relay (Gus Grimstad, Noah Faldet, A.J. Morrow, Andrew Heine), 200 individual medley relay (Morrow, Grimstad), 500 freestyle relay (Faldet, Jackson Penny, Heine), 100 breakstroke relay (Penny, Faldet) and 400 freestyle relay (Morrow, Heine, Grimstad, Faldet).

Waterloo’s top finishes were seconds in the 200 medley relay (Sam O’Brien, Kyle Rogers) and 100 backstroke relay (Ethan Staples, Luke Earnest), a second from Tate Hookham in the 100 freestyle and thirds in the 200 medley relay (Staples, Hookham, O’Brien, Rogers), 100 butterfly relay (Ben Dvorak, Rogers) and 400 freestyle relay (Staples, Sam Anderson, Earnest, Dvorak).

JOHNSTON INVITATIONAL: Cedar Falls put together a strong showing Saturday at the Johnston Invitational.

The Tigers got a win from Dawson Bremner in the 100 butterfly (53.48) and claimed the 400 freestyle relay with the group of Sam Reinart, Dylan Moffatt, Bremner and Jared Mattson.

Other top finishes for Cedar Falls included seconds by Bremner in the 200 individual medley, Moffatt in the 200 freestyle, Mattson in the 50 freestyle and Reinart in the 100 backstroke, along with thirds from Reinart in the 200 freestyle, Demir Tuken in the 100 butterfly and Mattson in the 100 freestyle.
