AMANA — Joe Dean and Ben Bermel of posted top 10 individual finishes during the 16-team Cedar Rapids Washington Tournament Thursday at the Amana Colonies Golf Course.

Jake Mervelli and Ben Krapfl finished atop the individual leaderboard as Indianola won the team race with a score of 309. Cedar Falls finished just eight strokes back in fourth place with a 317 tally against the strong field of competition.

Dean’s score of 75 tied for the third best individual score, while Bermel finished tied for seventh with his 76. Brandon Nelson and Kevin Yang each fired scores of 83 to round out the Cedar Falls team effort.

Waterloo West finished 16th with a score of 389. Kobe Smith led the Wahawks with a total of 89.
