Postseason history: Union is in for the 11th time. The Knights were the state runners-up last year, and won it all in 2011. Williamsburg is in for the 10th consecutive season and 18th overall.

Road to the Dome: Union beat Aplington-Parkersburg, 42-0, and Cascade, 22-14. Williamsburg beat PCM Monroe, 18-17, before avenging a regular-season loss to Mount Pleasant, 24-14, in the quarterfinals.

Quick slants: Troy Hanus has now passed for more than 2,000 yards for Union with 21 touchdowns. Koby Alpers has 41 catches for 802 yards and 11 scores, and Britton Rolison has 37 for 662 and six TDs. ... In seven of its nine victories, Williamsburg has scored 49 or more points, but has scored just 42 in the playoffs. Gage Hazen-Fabor has rushed for 2,168 yards and 22 touchdowns to pace the Raiders. Gage Blythe has passed for 845 yards and rushed for 352.
