PARKERSBURG — Alec Oberhauser scored a career-high 31 points and added 11 rebounds as fourth-ranked Aplington-Parkersburg stormed past Waterloo Columbus, 79-43, Monday in North Iowa Cedar League action.

The Falcons (13-0) stormed out to a 42-7 first-half lead and never slowed up as most of the second half was played under a continuous clock.

Oberhauser was 13 of 15 from the field.

Alex Zike led the Sailors (2-9) with 10 points.

In the girls’ game, Columbus (2-9) broke out to a 10-2 lead, but A-P (9-5) chipped away, lead 32-22 at halftime, and rolled to their sixth consecutive win.

Sophia Jungling led the Falcons with 13.

Ali Vesely scored a career-high 23 for the Sailors.
