Two girls from Cedar Falls and one from Waterloo West earned first team all-conference soccer recognition from the Mississippi Valley Conference on Monday.

Ally Zierke and Kate Motzko were selected in the Valley Division for the Tigers. Zierke led the team with 12 goals this season, while Motzko added seven to go along with a team-best six assists.

Motzko also earned a spot on the All-Academic team.

Earning Mississippi Division recognition for the Wahawks was sophomore Izzy Guyer, who grabbed the nod after a solid defensive season.

Cedar Falls also had Madison Bower and Abby Hendrickson earn second team honors, Julia Hetherton and Amber Pearce be named honorable mention and Kaitlynn Solberg get an all-academic nod.

Laura Rico earned Waterloo East’s top recognition, making the Mississippi Division second team.

Lexi Imbouathong and Erin Rankin got honorable mentions for West, while Megan Fields and Sydney Nai made it for East.

Making the Mississippi All-Academic were Taylor Lawrence and Fields of East and Hannah Jacobs and Rachel Iliff of West.
