WATERLOO — Cedar Falls improved on its first-round score and extended its lead after the second round of the Metro Meet girls’ golf series Wednesday at South Hills Golf Course.

The Tigers, who shot 169 in the opening round, posted a team score of 165 for a 42-stroke victory Tuesday. Hannah Bermel was medalist with a 38, and Taylor Sernett was the runner-up after a round of 41.

With two rounds complete and two to go, Cedar Falls stands at 334 with Waterloo West leading Waterloo Columbus by one stroke (421-422) for second. Hannah Bermel is the individual leader at 78, followed by Sernett at 83.
