JANESVILLE — Janesville shut out Riceville in two of the four quarters and cruised to a 61-10 owa Star Conference girls’ basketball win Tuesday.

Janesville led 18-0 after the opening quarter. Nine players scored for 11th-ranked Janesville (15-1, 10-0), led by Kennedy Meister with 13 points.

GRUNDY CENTER 38, WEST MARSHALL 26: Grundy Center’s defense shut down West Marshall in the second half, including a scoreless third quarter, as the No. 8 Spartans improved to 14-1 overall and 9-1 in North Iowa Cedar League games.

Trailing 23-16 at halftime, Grundy Center allowed just three second-half points.

CLARKSVILLE 62, TRIPOLI 38: The Clarksville girls took a 34-17 lead into the lockerroom at the half and coasted to 62-38 win over Tripoli.

Sophomore Kori Wedeking led all scorers with 24 points. The Indians improved to 8-3 in the Iowa Star North with one conference game remaining and are 16-3 overall.

WAVERLY-SHELL ROCK 70, NEW HAMPTON 46: Waverly-Shell Rock used stellar late defense to finish off New Hampton in Northeast Iowa action.

The Go-Hawks (10-5, 8-1) only led by three at halftime, 37-34, but broke the game open in the third period. Senior guard Jack Seward led the offense with 16 points while Keagan John scored 17 for New Hampton (6-9, 1-7).

DECORAH 56, OELWEIN 54: Decorah wiped out a four-point deficit after three quarters and topped Oelwein in a Northeast Iowa Conference thriller.

Decorah’s Nick Bockman was the game’s leading scorer with 19 points while Dom Robertson scored 18 for Oelwein.

GLADBROOK-REINBECK 75, SUMNER-FREDERICKSBURG 57: Caden Kickbush pumped in 29 points to give Gladbrook-Reinbeck a 75-57 win over Sumner-Fredericksburg.

After sitting much of the first half with two fouls, the 6-5 senior came out firing in the second half, scoring 21 points. Mason Skovgard added 15 as the Rebels improved to 11-2.

DON BOSCO 79, CAL 12: Seventh-ranked Don Bosco drubbed winless CAL in Iowa Star action.

The Dons jumped out to a 29-5 lead after the first quarter. Sean McFadden led the way for Don Bosco with 18 points while Zach Huff notched 16 and Clayton Weber added 14.
