WATERLOO, Iowa — The Waterloo Junior Golf Championship is set for July 30 at Irv Warren Golf Course in Waterloo.

Competition is offered in three age groups for boys and girls ages 12-18. The entry fee is $25, which includes lunch. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group, including full junior passes to Waterloo’s public courses for age group winners.

The Waterloo Junior Championship replaces the former Waterloo City Junior and Waterloo Junior Open events. The tournament will, as was the case with the Waterloo Junior Open, be a points event on the Iowa PGA Junior Tour.

Parents and others will be allowed on the course to follow the players.

The entry deadline is July 22, and golfers will receive their tee times for the tournament via email within a few days of the deadline.
