CEDAR FALLS — Two more nationally ranked wrestlers have signed to compete for the University of Northern Iowa beginning next season.

Cayd Lara of Fort Dodge and Kyle Biscoglia of Waukee join a decorated group of six previous signees.

Biscoglia is a two-time state champ at 106 and 113 pounds and won the 2017 USAW Preseason Nationals. He also owns three championships and four runner-up finishes at USAW/CK, Iowa/USA and Northern Plains regional tournaments. Biscoglia is ranked 14th in the country at 120 pounds by Intermat and is No. 9 on IA Wrestle’s Fab50 list with a career record of 137-11 that includes 78 pins.

Lara is ranked 20th nationally at 152 pounds and is No. 14 on IAWrestle’s Fab 50 list. He’s a three-time state placewinner, including a runner-up finish a year ago. Lara is an Iowa/USA Greco-Roman state champion whose brother, Triston, is a freshman wrestler at UNI.
