STILLWATER, Okla. — Fifth-ranked Oklahoma State won seven of the 10 matches and defeated No. 13 Northern Iowa 24-10 Saturday afternoon in a Big 12 Conference wrestling dual meet.

Oklahoma State (10-2, 6-0) started strong with wins from returning All-Americans at 125 and 133 and a 4-1 decision from fourth-ranked and two-time defending NCAA champion Dean Heil (18-4) over No. 8 Josh Alber (21-4) at 141 pounds.

Seventh-ranked Max Thomsen (22-5) accounted for UNI’s only points in the first half of the meet with a 3-1 sudden victory decision at 149 pounds over 14th-ranked Boo Lewallen (20-5).

Daniel Kelly nearly pulled off an upset at 165, taking ninth-ranked All-American and two-time NCAA qualifier Chandler Rogers into sudden victory before falling 7-5.

The Panthers (5-4, 2-2) got a 7-4 decision from seventh-ranked Taylor Lujan (23-4) at 174 pounds and a 12-2 major from Drew Foster (20-4) at 184 to draw within 17-10.

Fifth-ranked returning All-American Preston Weigel of Oklahoma State clinched the meet for the Cowboys with a 4-3 win over Jacob Holschlag at 197 pounds.
