The University of Northern Iowa volleyball program’s Purple and Gold scrimmage is set for Sunday, Aug. 20 at the McLeod Center.
Admission is free and the doors will open at 1:15 p.m. The Panthers will draw for door prizes and UNI volleyball gear will be on sale until the scrimmage begins at 2 p.m. Fans can engage in on-court activities with coaches, players and UNI’s mascots following the match.

Texas was picked to win the league with Kansas a close second and Baylor third. The Longhorns received six of nine first-place votes with the Jayhawks receiving the other three.

The Cedar Valley SportsPlex is offering a Football Fundamentals Clinic for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten boys and girls.
Sessions begin Sept. 11 and will take place at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex in Waterloo and coaches will focus on teaching proper mechanics and football terminology.
