CEDAR FALLS — The University of Northern Iowa track and field teams won 23 of 30 events Saturday to dominate the Panther Open in the UNI-Dome.
The Panthers took seven field events and 16 wins on the track.
On the men’s side, Isaac Holtz won the weight throw (56-04.50) and shot put (56-10.25) while Cade Kirkpatrick and Xavior Williams earned field wins with Kirkpatrick taking the long jump (23-03.25) and Williams winning the high jump (6-10.75).
Connor Ham won the 60 hurdles (8.13), Connor Blough won the 400 (50.17). Logan Murray took the mile (4:29.76), Jordan Pingel won the 600 (1:20.90), Dylan Eigenberger was the 1,000 champ (2:32.68), Corey Hertz won the 200 (22.10), Zack Krogmann captured the 800 (2:02.14) and the team of Blough, Jojo Frost, Ethan Smith and Evan Long won the 4x400 relay (3:19.69).
UNI women’s winners were Sarah Pate in the weight throw (54-10), Lauren Beauchamp in the pole vault (11-5.75). Allison Griffin in the shot put (43-2.25), Frederick in the 60 hurdles (9.22), Ashley Norem in the 1,000 (2:58.70), Maddie Bell in the 60 (7.87) and 200 (25.15), Jolissa Kriegel in the 400 (59.79), Lucy Conroy in the mile (5:19.56) and Dianna Slight in the 600 (1:36.33), along with the 4x400-meter relay of Kriegel, Frederick, Erica Loussaert and Brooke Lorenz (4:00.51).
