  • The Bremer County Chapter of Pheasants Forever will host its 30 anniversary banquet Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Riviera Roose in Janesville.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner and a fundraising auction to follow at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the event benefit wildlife habitat conservation and youth education efforts in Bremer County.

"The beauty of Pheasants Forever is the local approach to conservation," said Rick Hall, president of the Bremer County chapter. "We're able to hold a great event with a wide array of prices from firearms to art, all of which support our efforts to create and restore habitat and provide educational outdoor activities for youth in our region."

Since forming in 1985, the Bremer County chapter has completed 1,616 habitat conservation projects impacting 13,331 acres. The chapter is also involved with Pheasants Forever's "No Child Left Indoors" program, part of a national movement aimed at getting youth unplugged from electronics and into outdoor activities and nature.

For more information about the Bremer County chapter's banquet or to purchase tickets, contact Hall at (319) 404-3567 or by email at rhalzy@gmail.com.
