BROOKINGS, S.D. — Katie Taylor won three individual events and the University of Northern Iowa captured 10 events in all on the way to a 169-131 women’s swimming dual win Friday at South Dakota State.
Taylor took the 200 freestyle (1:53.73), 200 backstroke (2:03.49) and 200 individual medley (2:06.92). Crystal Florman was a double-winner in the 50 freestyle (24.07) and 100 butterfly (57.48) while UNI’s other individual winners were Molly Lembezeder in the 100 freestyle (52.65), Kylie Engstrom in the 500 freestyle (5:12.17) and Madison Rinaldi in the 100 backstroke (59.48).
The Panthers were also victorious in the 200 medley relay with Taylor, Moriah Ross, Florman and Lembezeder (1:46.70) and the 400 freestyle relay with Florman, Lembezeder, Maya Appleton and Rachel Siebenaller (3:34.15).
