IOWA CITY — UNI’s Katie Taylor won a relay, three individual events and recorded a Missouri Valley Conference record to lead the Panthers Friday during a season-opening triangular with Michigan State and Iowa at the University of Iowa.

Taylor clocked a 2:00.26 time, good for the MVC’s record in the 200 IM. She also won the 100 backstroke in 55.55 and the 200 backstroke in 2:00.26.

Crystal Florman and Molly Lembezeder joined Taylor and Moriah Ross as UNI captured a championship in the 200 medley relay in 1:44.08. Ross added a victory with a time of 2:18.85 in the 200 breaststroke.

UNI returns to action against Big Ten competition Friday, Oct. 13 at the University of Nebraska.
