TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Emily Snelling fired the low round of the day as Northern Iowa is tied for second after one round of the Indiana State Spring Invitational at the Country Club of Terre Haute Sunday.

Snelling shot a 2-under 70 and leads by two strokes over Indiana State’s Sophie Benetti.

The Panthers’ Maddie Bertch is fourth with a 74 as UNI is tied with Western Illinois with scores of 306. The Sycamores lead with a 301.

Playing as individuals and not scoring as part of the team, UNI’s Sarah McMichael is tied for seventh after carding a 76, and Anne Gradoville was tied for ninth with a 77.
