MAUMELLE, Ark.—Northern Iowa’s women settled into ninth place after Monday’s opening rounds in the 2016 Little Rock/Arkansas State Invitational golf tournament held at Maumelle Country Club.

UNI’s Allison Rolinger carded a pair of sub-80 rounds with a 79 and a 75 (154) to put her into a tie for 19th following the opening 36 holes. She shared a tournament high with seven birdies through 36 holes.

Paige Van Dyk is tied for 41st after scoring rounds of 81 and 82 (163) on Monday. Sonja Przybylski recorded rounds of 85 and 85 (168).

Maddie Bertsch and Sarah McMichael are tied for 50th after notching 36-hole totals of 170. Bertsch opened with a 79 and McMichael closed with an 81.

Central Arkansas is the first-day leader at 299-295 (594). UNI is in ninth place with scores of 324-321 (645).

The final 18 holes of the 54-hole event will be contested on Tuesday.
