RHODES — Defending champion Northern Iowa couldn’t get it going Monday as the Panther men’s golf team settled into eighth place after the first two rounds of the Zach Johnson Invitational at Harvester Golf Course.

Davis Sutton carded rounds of 70 and 78 for a 148 total and a tie for fifth place individually. Marshal Lamb stands 23rd at 155 with David Spengler and Sam DeBartolo in 27th at 156 and Dustin Atkinson 37th at 158.

Bradley leads the tournament at 595, while UNI finished at 614.

In the MVC Preview women’s tournament at Cape Girardeau, Mo., UNI is 14th after two rounds at 647. Murray State leads at 581.

Paige VanDyk is tied for sixth to lead the Panthers after rounds of 74 and 72. Allison Rolinger is tied for 46th at 156, Sarah McMichael is 72nd at 165, Jenny Snyder is tied for 80th at 180 and Whitney Dostal is 83rd at 192.
