PEORIA, Ill. — Three UNI women finished among the top 25 and carried the Panthers to a third-place finish Friday at the 31-team Bradley Classic.
Freshman Hannah Truniger led the pack by finishing 11th in 21:09.60. Kelsey Kirchoff was 18th in 21:20.20, Ashley Norem ran 21:29.20 for 22nd place and Brett Correy was 31st in 21:41.90.
In the men’s race, UNI was 11th overall. Bailey Wetherell set the pace by finishing 41st in 25:17.70, Zach Buchheit was 49th in 25:23.60, Jacob Day was 52nd in 25:28.50 and C.J. May was 58th in 25:33.60.
UNI has a week away from competition before hosting the Missouri Valley Conference Championships Oct. 29 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls.
