IOWA CITY — Iowa State showed off its depth as the Cyclones dominated the Hawkeye Invitational men’s and women’s cross country races Friday night.

In a format the breaks the team results down into dual scores, ISU went undefeated and had the individual women’s champion in Callie Logue (13.45.2) and the top men’s finisher in Festus Lagat (17.49.2).

Northern Iowa defeated Drake (20-43) and topped Illinois State (20-41) in the women’s race and had five runners among the top 25. Tiffany Christensen led the Panthers with a 12th-place finish in 14:28.4. Ashley Norem was 16th (14:36.9) Gabby Skopec 20th (14:47.7), Alyssa Williams 21st (14:50.3) and Kelsey Leedy 22nd (14:51.7).

In the men’s race, UNI edged Drake (24-33), Creighton (16-44) and Illinois State (26-29).

C.J. May paced the Panthers with a 13th-place finish in 18:20.4. Ben Alrichs was 30th (19:00.8) Mitchell Pritts 33rd (19:04.6) and Dillon Timmerman 34th (19:06.6).
