MADISON, Wis. -- Ashley Norem led six University of Northern Iowa runners who placed in the top 10 individually as the Panthers made a strong showing Friday at the University of Wisconsin's Badger Classic.
UNI finished second in the women's team standings with 41 points. Wisconsin was the winner with 20 points.
Norem toured the 6,000-meter course in 21:59.60 to finish fourth overall. Hannah Truniger was close behind in sixth place (22:06.30), Kelsey Kirchoff was seventh ((22:13.10) and Brette Correy was eighth in a personal-best 22:20.90.
In the men's meet, UNI finished third in the four-team field behind Wisconsin and DePaul. Bailey Wetherell was sixth in 19:08.70, Jacob Day was 10th (19:19.50), Dylan Eigenberger was 14th (19:28.60) and C.J. May was 17th (19:35).
