ELSAH, Ill. — Wartburg College senior Eli Kaczinski earned All-America honors Saturday with a 35th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.
Kaczinski ran 24:55.67 as the Knights finished 20th in the team standings. Former Cedar Falls High standout Timothy Sevcik of Loras was 36th in 24:56.28, and Wartburg’s Sam Pinkowski finished 46th. Darin Lau of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was the individual winner in 24:03.59 while North Central (Ill.) captured the team title.
In the women’s race, Wartburg was 22nd as a team, led by freshman Cassidy Christopher of Cedar Falls, who placed 62nd in 21:56.90. Johns Hopkins was the team champion and Khia Kurtenbach of the University of Chicago was the individual medalist in 20:39.20.
