BIMINI, Bahamas – Iowa State kicked off the Junkanoo Jam with a 67-64 women’s basketball win over Tulane Friday afternoon in the Bahamas.

Emily Durr posted a season-best 19 points and five 3-pointers to go with four assists for Iowa State. Bridget Carleton also finished with 19 points, along withj nine rebounds and five assists, while Meredith Burkhall posted 16 points and eight rebounds.

Tulane was within one point in the closing seconds, but Carleton stepped up to make both free throws with 0.6 seconds left, and the Green Wave missed a trey at the buzzer to extend the contest.
