Q. Where did the Social Security office move to on Highway 63? And why did they move it from being down on Fourth Street?

A. In late September, the agency moved its local office from downtown Waterloo to 3121 Greyhound Drive. The move gave the center more space in which to work and, ideally, leads to shorter wait times and better service for customers, according to Jerry Nelson, district manager.

Q, Where is Heather King now, former anchor at KWWL?

A. We located Heather through Facebook. Here is her response: "I've been in California for almost seven years now. I can't believe it's been that long. When I left KWWL, I left the business completely. I work at a family owned men's clothing store in Carmel, Calif. It's fun; I have normal hours, and I get to talk to people all day! Meeting people from all over the world and hearing their stories is what keeps me there. It's the same reason I stayed in broadcasting for 12 years. I got married two years ago to a local man, so it looks like I'll be staying out here awhile. But not a day goes by that I don't miss all my friends and family back in Iowa. Schnack (Mark Schnackenberg) keeps me up to date on the weather and the paper (The Courier) keeps me in touch with what's happening. I just wore my Iowa Hawkeyes sweatshirt today... I'm still an Iowa girl."

Q. Why won't the Courier print anything about why Chris Carter got fired? Is the Courier covering up for KWWL? What did he actually get fired for?

A. We've printed what we know. KWWL is not commenting on its reasons for not renewing Carter's contract. Carter says he doesn't know the reason.
