WATERLOO -- The Waterloo City Council is lacking gender equality and age diversity. April Leadley is a candidate to bring the council a step closer to equity. April is a small business owner as well.

April Leadley is passionate about making her hometown attractive to new businesses and residents. She knows the problems faced by both the city and business owners in attracting and keeping new businesses. April believes much needs to be done to clean up dilapidated areas, including littered roadways and empty lots that greet visitors to town.

April and her husband have two young daughters. She represents the large portion of our community that is working hard to balance time and finances while raising a family.

April has ideas to improve fiscal efficiency and reduce the crime rate in Waterloo. She is an independent thinker without affiliations to any city or community groups or leaders. She will ask questions before making informed decisions. April will listen to ideas from her constituents and bring these ideas to council agendas.

April Leadley is a young, independent and energetic candidate who is optimistic about the future of Waterloo. We need this refreshing change to our City Council.
