WATERLOO -- I travel from coast to coast and to Canada nearly every other week. I have seen the booming economies of New York and the hurting communities of California. But I live here in Waterloo by choice. I have witnessed a growth spurt in Waterloo over the last 2-3 years and especially in the last 16 months. Guys like Mayor Quentin Hart, Sen. Jeff Danielson and Councilman Tom Powers are largely responsible. Our city deserves this growth, we deserve the business investments from people that believe in Waterloo. Saying no to things like white-water rafting and yes to cutting taxes only is a cop-out to doing your job, but if you have no experience that's what happens.
I have built five of the six Automated Marketing Platforms in automotive in the U.S., and recently I am looking at hiring 15-25 employees and I am looking right here in the Cedar Valley. That's where the talent is and is worth hiring. We have a choice to make on Nov. 7 -- Tom Powers, who represents growth, experience and business investments or a bored, inexperienced person who will "cut taxes" and doesn't know business. Choose wisely Waterloo. Catholic voter here, too.
