WATERLOO, Iowa --- The YMCA is hosting Easter Eggstravaganza from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, a free Easter activity for the community.

An Easter egg hunt will have children swimming through the pool to collect eggs they can turn in for prizes.

Children and parents can choose to participate in the smaller youth pool or the full-size lap pool based on their age and swimming ability. Parents are welcome to be in the water with their young children. All participants need to bring their own swimsuit and towel.

Following the hunt, children and families can enjoy free swim time as well as Easter crafts and activities. The event is open to the public.
