WATERLOO -- The new Waterloo Public Works Building will be open for public tours June 20.

The city has scheduled an open house and ribbon cutting for the $9 million facility at at 625 Glenwood St., the former Construction Machinery Corp. site.

The public is invited to tour the new building from noon until 4 p.m. A ribbon cutting will take place at 1 p.m.

A $5 million state I-JOBS flood mitigation program grant and $1 million from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association helped offset the cost of the project.
