WATERLOO — The Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley needs help with the following:
- Volunteers are needed to mentor community youths, assist with after-school programming or participate in summer activities for The Salvation Army.
- Volunteers age 21 and older with a valid driver's license and demonstrated safe driving record are needed to drive the Care-A-Van for Wheaton Medical.
- The Grout Museum District seeks volunteers to greet and direct visitors and operate the cash register to sell admissions and merchandise. This ongoing position is one day per week, 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- EMBARC's Mentoring Program seeks to reach refugees on a personal level, pairing them with a volunteer mentor who can serve as a teacher, advocate, and friend for at least one hour weekly in Waterloo.
