WATERLOO — The Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley needs help with the following:
Volunteer victim advocates with Waypoint Services are being sought to assist with answering the 24/7 resource and support phone line, supporting victims in criminal and civil court proceedings, and providing emergency advocacy at area hospitals for victims of domestic violence.
Aspire is seeking a volunteer/intern to assist with clerical work, website development, public relations and marketing, fundraisers and grants.
The ALS Association Iowa Chapter created the family assistance program to match volunteers with families affected by ALS to assist with tasks or to be a friendly visitor.
The Cedar Bend Humane Society is accepting applications for the board of directors. Directors meet the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. There is an application and interview process and new Members attend a CBHS volunteer orientation and serve on a committee.
