SALEM, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have released the names of a married couple whose bodies were found inside the charred remains of their mobile home in southeast Iowa.

The two were identified as 72-year-old Barbara Loyd and her husband, 74-year-old John Loyd. Their bodies were found after an explosion and fire Wednesday afternoon at their home, which sits about four miles east of Salem in Henry County.

The Iowa state medical examiner's office says the Loyds were killed by the blast and subsequent fire.

The incident is being investigated.

SALEM, Iowa (AP) — Two bodies have been found inside the charred remains of a mobile home in southeast Iowa's Henry County.

The fire and possible explosion were reported about 5 p.m. Wednesday. The home sits four miles east of Salem.

Authorities were working to identify the bodies and notify relatives.

The fire cause is being investigated.
