Two arrested on meth complaint

WATERLOO, Iowa --- Two Waterloo men have been arrested after police found items to used to make meth in their home Thursday.

Officer with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force served a search warrant at 104 Candlewick Road at about 5:30 p.m. and discovered an active meth lab in the basement. They also found jugs of Coleman fuel, muratic acid, lithium strips, scales and meth.

Officers arrested Marcus Devon Widmann, 26, and Charles Joshua Akers, 33, of manufacturing meth.

Akers’s bond was set at $250,000, and bond for Widmann was set at $100,000
