Black Hawk Children's Theatre presents four shows of "Winnie the Pooh" beginning at 7 p.m. today.

Lunchtime Concert

Time: Noon today.

Location: Hearst Center for the Arts, 304 W. Seerley Blvd., Cedar Falls.

Details: Listen to live music performed by musicians from the University of Northern Iowa School of Music, the wcfsymphony, and the Northeast Area Music Teachers Association at noon on the second Friday of every month from September to May. Free-will donations are accepted, with all proceeds going to the UNI School of Music scholarship fund. Feel free to bring your lunch. Today is UNI Octo-Bones, a trombone octet directed by Anthony Williams.

‘Winnie the Pooh’

Details: Black Hawk Children’s Theatre production. Pooh Bear and his friends in the 100-Acre Woods are set for all sorts of adventures. While Winnie the Pooh would prefer to hum soothing songs and enjoy his honey, his friends get him into all sorts of dilemmas.

‘Doubt: A Parable’

Time: 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Location: Strayer-Wood Theatre, University of Northern Iowa campus, Cedar Falls.

Details: Theatre UNI will present the show. The show won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for drama and Tony Award for best play.

Tickets: $20 for adults and free for UNI students with an ID card. Purchase at the lobby box office.

Shell Rock Swing Show

Metropolitan Chorale

Time: 7:30 p.m. today.

Location: Waterloo Center for the Art, 225 Commercial St.

Details: The Metropolitan Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Amy Kotsonis, invites Cedar Valley music lovers to a night on the town with a performance of Broadway favorites. The Chorale presents “The Lights of Broadway.” The performance will include music from West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Rent, Phantom of the Opera and Dear Evan Hansen.

Tickets: are $15 per individual, $25 per couple and $10 per student; tickets will be available at the door prior to the concert. Admission includes light hors d’oeuvres, coffee and tea.

Mitch McVicker Concert

Time: 7 p.m. today; doors open at 6 p.m.

Location: Grace Reformed Church, 520 Maxwell St.

Details: The Dove Award-winner will be performing songs from his latest recording, “The Grey: When Black & White Fade.” His music is a blend of contemporary Christian rock, folk, praise, humor and testimony. Donations will be received.

Electronics Recycling & Household Toxic Materials Drop-off

Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Location: Waterloo Waste Water Treatment Plant, 3505 Easton Ave.

Details: The Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission will be partnering with the City of Waterloo to provide a toxic materials and electronics recycling drop-off for all Black Hawk County households. Some fees may apply for certain electronics. No paint, motor oil, antifreeze, appliances or business waste of any type will be accepted.

Trout Stocking and Family Fun Day

Time: 10 a.m. Saturday.

Push-Up Brawlers Roller Derby

Details: The Brawlers take on Dubuque Bomb Squad. The game will also be a double header with the Cedar Valley Junior Roller Derby team, the Madcatters, playing Iowa City’s Black Hearted Bruises at 3:30 p.m.

Wartburg Community Symphony

Details: Celebrating one of America’s greatest musicians and his inspiring work.
