CEDAR FALLS — Gregory S. Marra, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.
He was born Aug. 9, 1948, in Cedar Falls, son of Garrett “Gary” and Mary Hall Marra. He married Stephanie Lyon on Jan. 27, 1974, in Cedar Falls.
He graduated from Cedar Falls High School, attended Northwest Missouri State and received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and later accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was employed with Wonder Bread, Black Hawk County Treasurer and John Deere. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls.
Survived by: his wife; a daughter, Rachel (Joshua) Hagen of Aberdeen, S.D.; a son, Nathaniel (fiancee Stacia Kellner) Marra of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Sabina and Oliver Hagen; his mother, of Cedar Falls; and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: his father.Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Jan. 12, at First Presbyterian Church. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.
