WATERLOO — Cheryl Scholl, 69, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, Dec. 30.
She was born July 19, 1948, in Waterloo to Victor H. and Myrtle Kraft Scholl.
She graduated from Waterloo East High School, attended the University of Northern Iowa and later received her master’s from Upper Iowa University. Cheryl began working at the Waterloo Public Library in August 1964 and continued to work there until her death. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was involved in several boards and committees including the perpetual trust fund and financial management committee. She served almost 20 years as the CWA Local Chapter vice president for the librarians union.
Survived by: several cousins; nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Preceded in death by: her parents.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at a later date in Waterloo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo.
