NASHUA, Iowa --- Christmas in Nashua will kick off Dec. 3 with several citywide events.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the community center from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and holiday home tours will be available from 2 to 5 p.m. Cost for the tour is $7. Tickets are available at the Nashua Pharmacy and Ruthie's.

The Gateway to Northeast Iowa Welcome Center, 10 Amherst Blvd., will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center features a gift shop. A soup supper also will be available from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The First Congregational Church, corner of Greeley and Woodbridge streets, will offer lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Also, the Nashua Plainfield Ministerium Music Celebration will begin at 4 p.m. Dec. 4. The event will be in the United Methodist Church, 314 Brasher St.
