FAIRBANK — The Fairbank Community Club will host its annual fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Fairbank American Legion.

The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and younger.

The menu will include Alaskan pollock, baked potato, Ted’s taters, french friends, baked beans, coleslaw and dessert. All proceeds will benefit Fairbank projects. Carry-outs will be available.

CEDAR FALLS — The United Faculty union at the University of Northern Iowa will host a community meeting with Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Norris at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the scholar space at Rod Library on campus.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Eagles to host

music evening

WATERLOO — The Waterloo Fraternal Order of Eagles will host a musical evening on Friday.

Box Canyon karaoke starts in the social room from 4 to 7:30 p.m., and Elvis tribute singer Joseph Hall will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight in the party room. Tickets may be purchased by calling (402) 617-4477.

A pork loin dinner will be available, starting at 5 p.m.

Hibernians host

St. Pat’s event

WATERLOO — The Ancient Order of Hibernians/the Five Sullivan Brothers Division 1 will begin its St. Patrick’s Day celebration events with Mass at Queen of Peace Church at noon Saturday.

Afterwards will be a ceremony at Sullivan Park, followed by Irish stew, beverages and music at the American Legion.

Everyone is welcome.
