WATERLOO, Iowa --- Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls will host its second Touch-A-Truck event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the RiverLoop Expo Plaza.

Those attending can get up close and personal with more than 20 vehicles including a police car, construction equipment, John Deere tractors, snowplows, fire trucks and more.

"Kids have the chance to talk to some of the drivers and discover just how big these trucks they see on the street are," said chairwoman Emily Cabbage.

Food vendors, raffle prizes and a variety of children's activities will all be part of this family-friendly event. A magic show by Greenie is scheduled at 11 a.m., with a juggling performance by Dean the Juggler at 1 p.m. There is no additional charge to participate in the children's activities.

Tickets are $3 in advance and $5 at the door. Advanced tickets are available at the Junior League office, 2530 University Ave., from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday and Friday. Proceeds for this event go toward fulfilling the Junior League mission to improve life in the Cedar Valley.

A rain date is scheduled for Sunday in the same location. Any rain delay decision will be made before 8 a.m. Saturday.
