WATERLOO -- A Waterloo man was injured in a vehicle-semi crash in Black Hawk County Wednesday afternoon.
The crash was reported about 1:40 p.m. at the intersection of South Canfield and Dubuque roads.
Deputies said a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Martin Diakiese, 38, of Waterloo, was southbound on South Canfield Road when it failed to stop at the posted stop sign. A 2016 Mack semi-trailer, owned by ABF Freight Systems, was traveling westbound on Dubuque Road. The truck was operated by Richard Corkery, 65, of Independence, when it collided with the Equinox.
Diakiese was transported to Covenant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. His condition has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
