Today in the Cedar Valley:
--- The Meskwaki Powwow concludes today at the tribal grounds near Tama. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children over age 5.
--- The Cedar Trails Festival concludes today with the Poker Ride at 11 a.m. from Mulligan's in Cedar Falls.
--- Public ice skating will be 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Young Arena, 125 Commercial St., Waterloo. Admission is $4 with a $3 skate rental fee.
--- The 2013 Country Heritage Community Maize Maze will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day. After Sept. 2, the maze will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment at least through Oct. 26. The maze is at the Gilbertson Conservation Education Area on County Road B64 east of Elgin. Admission is free for children 5 and younger, $5 for ages 6 to 11 and $7 for adults.
