WATERLOO — The Board of Education approved a series of administrative changes this week following the resignation or retirement of several people.
George Washington Carver Academy Assistant Principal Sheena Canady will become the school’s new leader with a salary of $112,000. She replaces Stephanie Mohorne, who will be Waterloo Community Schools’ associate superintendent for education services with a salary of $149,000. Mohorne is moving into the position after Charles McNulty resigned.
East High Principal Marla Padget will become executive director of student and at-risk services with a salary of $141,358. She replaces Cora Turner, who is retiring. All three changes, which are effective July 1, were previously announced pending board approval.
McNulty’s resignation and Turner’s retirement were also approved at the meeting. In addition, the board accepted the resignation of Willie Barney, executive director of supplemental services.
