UNI Credit Union

CEDAR FALLS — The 2018 College Scholarship Program at the UNI Credit Union is now open.

The credit union will award one $500 scholarship to members who are high school seniors, and one $500 scholarship to a current college student.

Members must be entering or continuing their education at a vocational, technical, community college or four-year college this fall.

Students will be required to submit a scholarship application by March 23 along with a 300-500 word essay. Details and an entry form are located at

Quest Scholarship

WATERLOO — The Waterloo Community Foundation is offering a Quest Scholarship to students in the Waterloo Schools.

Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited public college, university or community college in Iowa as a full-time student starting in the fall 2018; pursuing a career in field of education or science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM); have a minimum grade point average of 2.9 and minimum of 16 hours of volunteer service during senior year.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded this spring.

Applications are available in counseling offices at East, West and Expo high schools. Michael and Barbara Henning, Waterloo residents and community volunteers, initiated this scholarship to reflect their commitment to education and youth.
