CHARLES CITY | Three people were arrested in a drug investigation in Charles City.
The Floyd County Sheriff's Office Friday arrested Dalton J. Betsinger, 21, Charles City, for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop near the intersection of South Main Street and Second Street in Charles City.
Based on information gathered during the stop, two other traffic stops were conducted, according to deputies.
Kasyee A. Stough, 30, Nashua, was stopped in the 1300 block of South Grand Avenue and upon further investigation was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Another traffic stop was conducted at Allison Street and Third Street. Upon further investigation, Cody R. Winters, 26, Nashua, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Multiple other charges are pending against these individuals, according to authorities.
Based on information gathered during these traffic stops, a search warrant was obtained and conducted on a motel room in the 1000 block of South Grand Avenue in Charles City. Authorities say several narcotics-related items were seized and further charges are pending.
