CLARKSVILLE – One person has been arrested in connection with a fire that damaged Clarksville City Hall over the weekend.

Nicholas James Wessels, 23, of Clarksville, was arrested for second-degree arson and second-degree criminal mischief, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently being held in the Butler County Jail.

The fire damaged city hall Saturday, and Wessels was arrested following an investigation by the sheriff’s office, Clarksville Fire Department, Clarksville Police, State Fire Marshal Division and Butler County Emergency Management.
