WEST UNION – A Minnesota man has been arrested a stolen vehicle investigation.

Fayette County sheriff’s deputies arrested Brandon Joseph Kimber, 19, of Rochester, Minn., on Tuesday at the West Union Library after he allegedly made threats to harm himself and other.

Kimber was arrested for first-degree theft in connection with a 2014 Toyota Venza that had been report stolen from Howard County. The vehicle was located in Casey’s General Store park lot in West Union, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

At the time of the incident, Kimber was apparently out on bond after he was arrested in December in Winneshiek County in connection with another stolen vehicle case.

In that incident, Kimber was found in a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup that was reported stolen in Calmar, and officers found meth and a pipe in his pocket. He was arrested for operating a vehicle without owner’s consent and possession of meth.
