WATERLOO --- Three people have been arrested in connection with a Thursday night raid where police allegedly found drugs within reach of children.

Police arrested 23-year-old Chavontae Charvez Boyd --- who was out on bond awaiting trial in a June shooting --- for possession of ecstasy, marijuana and K2 synthetic marijuana, two counts of violation of the drug tax stamp act and four counts of child endangerment.

Brittaney Kay Reiter, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, one count of violation of the drug tax stamp act and four counts of child endangerment. Tristin James Bumgarner, 19, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and one count of violation of the drug tax stamp act.

According to court records, four children under age 3 were found at 214 Denver St. when Waterloo police searched the residence shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday. Officers found marijuana on a kitchen table and drug paraphernalia throughout the house, court records state. Officers also found a large bag of marijuana, a bag of ecstasy pills and two large bags of synthetic marijuana as well as an electronic scale and cash.

While authorities were on their way to search the home, Reiter left the residence, and officers stopped her and found a large bag of marijuana in the vehicle, court records state. When officers were at the door preparing to enter the home, Baumgarner allegedly threw 14 bags of marijuana from his window, according to court records.

Boyd is currently awaiting trial in connection with a shooting near Elks Memorial Park that injured a 29-year-old man. Boyd is accused of being a driver for another person, who fired the shots.
