WATERLOO – The Heartland Marimba Quartet will perform at 7 p.m. Friday in the Law Court Theatre at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, 225 Commercial St.
The quartet will perform a varied program of new modern works composed for them, contemporary/groovy pieces, to ragtime and classical transcriptions. Matthew Coley of Waterloo is the executive director and an artist with the quartet. Cost is a $20 suggested donation.
They also are partnering with the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra on several educational and free events.
Sale set at Women’s Club
CEDAR FALLS — The annual Cedar Falls Woman’s Club Rummage and Bake Sale is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Club House at 304 Clay St.
Proceeds will go toward scholarships to summer music camps. All remaining clothing and books will be donated to local organizations.
Events planned at Moose Lodge
WASHBURN — The Moose Lodge 328, 6636 La Porte Road, has several events planned this week.
There will be salsa chicken today for $6, and beef and noodles and mashed potatoes served Thursday for $8.
On Friday, there will be all-you-can-eat fish for $8, with karaoke from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday features pot roast with mashed potatoes.
An omelet and waffle breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday.
Eagles Club to hold lunch
WATERLOO – The Fraternal Order of Eagles, 202 E. First St., will have an all-you-can-eat soup and salad luncheon Thursday, beginning at 11 a.m.
