CEDAR FALLS — “Christmas in the Air” will be presented by Cedar Falls High School musicians Wednesday at the Cedar Falls Woman’s Club.

The Cedar Falls High School brass choir, clarinet choir and saxophone quartet, under the direction of Gerald Ramsey, will perform at 12:10 p.m. in the ballroom of the club at 304 Clay St.

The public is welcome to attend the performance prior to the luncheon and meeting of the general club. For more information, call 266-1431.

CEDAR FALLS — The Cedar Falls Authors Festival will host a book fair and signing featuring local authors from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at University Book & Supply, 1009 W. 23rd St.

Authors will have their works available for purchase and signing; refreshments and free gift wrap will be available.

The book fair will feature nine authors, including Mary Potter Kenyon, Len Froyen, Jim Kenyon, Jim O’Loughlin, Maribeth Boelts, Jan Abel, Ken Lyftogt, Scott Cawelti and Cherie Dargan.

The year-long festival began in May and is honoring Cedar Falls writers past and present. Events in 2018 will feature current local authors and their works with programs throughout the spring.

Children’s choir

to give concert

CEDAR FALLS — The University of Northern Iowa’s Children’s Choir will perform a fall concert at 7 p.m. Friday in the Bengtson Auditorium in Russell Hall on the UNI campus.

The UNI Children’s Choir is sponsored by the UNI Community Music School and the UNI School of Music. The group includes students in grades three through nine from throughout the Cedar Valley. The choir is directed by UNI School of Music faculty member Michelle Swanson.
